Peregrine Falcon

The Peregrine Falcon (Falco peregrinus) is a bird of prey which belongs to the family Falconidae and it’s widespread all over the world: (Europe, Asia, Africa, North America, South America and Oceania).
The word “peregrinus" refers to the dark coloration of the head feathers, which remind a black hood, similar to the one that peregrines used to wear.

The Peregrine Falcon is famous for its high speed; it can reach more than 320 km/h (198 miles per hour), dive-bombing during the chase; this makes it the speedest living animal.
